About me

Hi. I’m Cavan Ramsey, owner of Bizimprove Limited

I have been helping high volume financial services organisations get the most from their large-scale transformation programmes for the last 15 years. Whether that is designing a brand-new transformation programme or getting a programme back on track.

I’m passionate about improving poorly run programmes because it drives me mad to see others working within programmes that are not going well getting frustrated, with the belief that things will not change. ‘It has always been like this’ and ‘it will never change’, are the comments I hear most frequently when I first step into an organisation. Sound familiar? It is my driving force to dispel that myth, and I have decided to devote my professional life to do just that.

With some hard work and fresh insight everything, and I mean everything, can change for the better. I have dedicated years of my life to this and the art of continuous improvement predominantly within financial services, and sometimes industries such as utilities & telecoms.

Many financial services organisations set out with a positive ambitious vision. However, reality soon makes itself known with increasing operating costs, high turnover of staff, and operational capacity not able to cope with demand. Furthermore, in these situations many staff members do not know how or have limited time to set up a program of improvement work to achieve the company’s vision.

It is often these situations when my clients pick up the phone and call me in. I work with clients to streamline processes and increase capacity, to help them achieve their shared vision. The approach taken is always pragmatic and shapes to suit each individual client, when helping them to successfully execute their transformation programme.

Where these duties are set out in law or regulation the professional should comply with requirements in both letter and spirit. LCS is a university developed and industry recognised lean qualifications framework for developing lean thinking knowledge and practical skills in the workplace.
